Hello everyone.
My name is Megumi. I am 38 years old.
“Megumi” means Grace. Please call me Megumi san or Megumi sensei.

I am from Hokkaido. I lived in Australia for 2 years and now I live in Europe.

I also have experience studying foreign languages, so I understand how difficult it is.

That''s why I want my students to act naturally all the time, so even if it is your first lesson, I try to create a relaxed atmosphere.

I like watching anime and TV dramas.

I have had lessons with Megumi-sensei for a few months now. When i first started with Megumi-sensei, i was very shy about my Japanese speaking skills. I would do a lot of studying by myself, and it frustrated me to not see all that studying not pay off when i went to Japan and felt like i new no Japanese at all! However, within just these few months, i see myself getting out of my shell and putting all that studying to good use. In each lesson, i am corrected about my mistakes in a friendly manner, which allows me to freely talk without much hesitation. The topics we talk about allow me to come up with a lot to say as well, so i don't feel pressured to talk. So far, we have talked about comparisons with my home country of the US and Japan, baseball and other sports, and childhood experiences, to name a few. She weaves in grammar points in these lessons so that i can use grammar in a way that reflects real speech. Megumi-sensei always gives me positive feedback. For this, i am very grateful to have a teacher in Megumi-sensei.
